Abstract: The embryonic and larval development in taimen Hucho taimen was described for the first time by live and fixed samples. The demersal, and telolecithal egg was spherical in shape with a great deal of yolk and had an average diameter of (5.55 ±0. 15)mm after absorption of water. At 4.8 -9.0 ℃, the larvae with a yolk sac volume of (0.074 ± 0.009 )cma hatched in 839 h after fertilization, and was (18.45 ±0.32)mm in total length and complete larval development in 60 days. The average egg diameter, hatching temperature and relationship between incubation period and larval size of taimen as well as different species were discussed.
