Abstract: The effects of different temperatures and salinity on embryonic development and hatching rate of \% Spinibarbus denticultus\% were investigated within a certain range of water temperature and salinity. The result shows that embryonic development of \% Spinibarbus denticultus\% is closely related to water temperature and salinity. Setting the temperatures at 16,17, 18, 19, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33℃, there exists a negative correlation between embryonic development time and water temperature. The suitable water temperature for embryonic development ranges from 24 to 29℃, having higher hatching rate (70%~80%), the maximum being 31℃ and minimum 19℃. Setting the salinity at 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 10,11,12, the suitable salinity for embryonic development ranges from 1 to 5, having higher hatching rate (80%~85%), the maximum being 9.
