Abstract: The activities of alkaline phosphatase (AKP), acetylcholinesterase (AChE), and lysozyme (LZM) in the blood were analyzed in 40 individual crucian carp juveniles with body weight of (103±2) g exposed to electromagnetic field at a intensity of 0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0 mT constant magnetic field generated by the Helmholtz coil at same water temperature of (10±1) ℃ for 10 days to study the influence of electromagnetic fields on fish physiology. The results showed that there was significantly lower activity of AKP in the treated fish than that in the control group from the second day of the experiment(P<0.05). From second day to the tenth day of the experiment, the fish in treated group had gradually declined activity of AChE and finally declined to 85.98%-95.47% of the initial activity. The activity of lysozyme in the fish was found to be significantly lower in the treatment group than that in the control group (P<0.05), the muscular protein level being reduced by 24.61% compared to the initial level at end of the experiment, indicating that the electromagnetic field leads to inhibit blood biochemical parameters and thus to disadvantageous effect for fishes.
