Abstract: The growth, feed conversion efficiency, survival rates and oxygen consumption ofParalichthys olivaceus juveniles were studied at different salinities. The results showed thatwhen the fish were directly translated from salinity of 32 to 8 and more than 8, the survivalrates were 100% in 48 hrs. If the fish was acclimatized, it began occurring death at salinity of2. The fish grew fast at salinity of 16-32, especially at salinity of 24. Feed conversion effi-ciency varied as salinity changed, and the highest one was at salinity of 24, 16, followed by32, and the lowest one was 8. Oxygen consumption was the lowest at salinity of 24, increasedat 16, 32, and the highest one was at salinity of 8, It was found that low salinity was benefit forreducing albinism rate.
