Abstract: In this trial, density, number of coelomocytes and immune enzyme activities were comparatively determined in cultured sea cucumber with body weight of(30.00±9.83)g,(70.00±7.83)g, and(110.00±10.68)g,and wild sea cucumber Apostichopus japonicus with body weight of(70.00±8.13)g,(110.00±7.53)g, and(150.00±10.64)g to explore the immunity relationship between wild and cultured sea cucumber and living environment. The results showed that there was no significant difference in the density of coelomocytes between wild and cultured animals with the different sizes(P>0.05). However, there were significantly higher density of spherulocytes in the wild sea cucumber with body weight of 150 g than that in the wild sea cucumber with body weight of 70 g and 110 g groups(P<0.05). The cultured and wild sea cucumber with the same sizes had no significantly different density of coelomocytes(P>0.05), with significantly higher density of spherulocytes and lymphoid cells in cultured sea cucumber in 110 g group than that in the wild animals(P<0.05). The differences in coelomic fluid parameters were not consistent and no certain regularity was observed in wild and cultured animals, without significant differences in these main immune enzyme activities between cultured and wild sea cucumber with the same size(P>0.05). The findings indicated that the number of coelomocytes and immune enzyme activities of sea cucumber were not influenced by environment, which provided a basis for research of the immune mechanism of sea cucumber.
