Abstract: The 400 Hz sine wave continual sound was used to stimulate common carp Cyprinus carpio with different body length to evaluate the effect of sound stimulation on aggregation of the common carp. The results showed that the common carp with body length of 30 -40 cm and 20 -30 cm had aggregation rate of 100% in 8 day sound stimulation. The aggregation rate of 100% was observed in the common carp with body length of 10 - 20 cm acclimated by sound for 6 days. There was the aggregation rate of 100% in the 5 - 10 cm common carp in 5 day sound acclimation. The average aggregation time of the common carp with body length of 30 -40 em, 20 -30 cm, 10 -20 cm, and 5 - 10 cm was found to be 50.01 s, 49.37 s, 48.77 s, and 47.25 s, respectively. The 400 Hz sine wave continual sound was observed to have significant aggregation of the common carp, more aggregation in the larger common carp than that in the smaller fish.
