Abstract: The effects of different concentrations of oxtetracycline on hatching rate, and larval survival, growth, eyespot occurrence frequency, and metamorphosis were studied in yesso scallop Patinopecten yessoeruis in a laboratory at a water temperature of 11 - 15 ℃. The results showed that the larvae had a very strong tolerance to the oxtetracycline. There was no significant influence on the hatching rate at a dose of 〈 4 mg/L oxtetracyeline. At a dose of 8 mg/L oxytetracycline, no significant negative effect on the larval growth, survival rate and the metamorphosis rate was observed. With the increase in the oxytetracycline concentration, the growth, survival rate and the metamorphosis rate tended to incrcase below 8 mg/L of oxytetracycline.
