Abstract: Residues of ciprofloxacin in common carp Cyprinus carpio tissues were detected by a fluorescence detector and high-performance liquid chromatographic (HPLC) method in which the drug was extracted with 0.1 mol/L phosphate buffer(pH 12). The HPLC was carried out on a water C_(18) column(3.9 mm×150 mm) with methanol + water (160/840, V/V; pH 3.0) as mobile phrase. A fluorescence detector was used at an stimulation wavelength of 278 nm and the emission wavelength of 465 nm. The calibration graphs was linear from 0.01 to 4.00 μg/mL for ciprofloxacin. All recoveries of drugs from the fish tissues were over 70%. The coefficients of variation were bellow 10%. at the detection limit of 0.01 μg/mL.
