Abstract: Changes in ultrastructure of Brachionous plicatilis resting eggs before and after bandling in freezing was examined by an electron microscope. It was found that the freezing eggs have thick membranes, loose electron density, and small irregular space in cytolasma. The embryo membranes of egg shell are loose, and wrinkle. The change in spiracle and em-bryo is not quite apparent. The ultrastructural comparison of freezing and fresh resting eggs were conducted to improve the floating hatching rates.
