Abstract: Four isozyms, lactate dehydrogenase(LDH), malate dehydrogenase(MDH),esterase(EST), superoxide dismutase (SOD), in five tissues(eye, liver, heart, kidney and muscle) of Erythroculter ilishaeformis (Bleeker) and Erythroculter recurviceps(Richardson) were analyzed by polyacrylamide gel vertical plate electrophoresis,respectively.The results showed that the isozymic patterns of LDH in five tissues, MDH in kidney and heart, and SOD in eyes and heart from the fishes were similar, but those of EST, MDH and SOD in certain tissues were, in some degree, different in the number of band and the activity of each band, expressing apparent tissues and species specificity.
