Abstract: The 43 day old juvenile Siberian huso sturgeonHusodauricuswith total body length of (7.60±0.58)cm and body weight of (2.42±0.45)g were reared in a aquaculture unit of Endemic Fishes Institute of Heilongjiang Province to evaluate the growth characteristics of the fish at water temperature of 16.5-21.0 ℃ from 10, July of 2010 to 31, August of 2010.The results showed that the juveniles had a mean body weight of (38.85±5.23)g and a mean total body length of (22.16±1.34)cm via 50 day rearing period. There was a linear relationship between the total body length and days old as an equation ofL=0.289t-4.7875,R2= 0.9984,and there was a power function relationship:W=0.2808e0.0554t,R2=0.9644,between body weight and days old. The total body length—weight relationship was expressed asW=0.0111L2.6495,R2=0.9978, with a nearly power of 3,indicating that the body weight was related to the cube of the body length and that the growth was isometric juvenile. The total body length was found to be increased at a rate of 0.278 cm on average for the juveniles and the instantaneous growth ratio of 5.552%. The body weight was increased at a rate of 0.729 g on average and the instantaneous growth ratio 2.081% for the juveniles.
