Abstract: One year old silver carp \%Hypophthalmichthys molitrix\% and bighead carp \%Aristichthys nobilis\% juveniles were stocked into lakes or reservoirs each year while some of the grow up ones stocked previously were caught to be production of a fishery farm. The paper describes a common quantity relationship between stocking amount and caught back amount using a matrix in Dahuofang Reservoir. Using the data of stocked and captive age structure of the autumn of 1998 and the spring of 1999 by the matrix, the capture back rates (CBR) can be figured out. Applying the CBR to the matrix, the paper gets the equation of stocked amount and caught back amount of the fish populations in the reservoir which could be used as a rule guideline to stocking and catching by the administrator of the farm.
