Abstract: The saline tolerance of Antarctic krill Euphausia superba to gradual(16.2-54.5)and sharp(15.9-55.2)changes in salinity was investigated in an in-situ water tank trail understand the suitability of Antarctic krill to environmental conditions, temperature, salinity, and acidification. The results showed that krill had critical tolerant salinity of about 26 with low salinity condition, with the minimum critical salinity of around 16,and the critical tolerant salinity of about 43 with high salinity condition, with the maximum critical salinity of about 55.The findings indicated that Antarctic krill has a certain capability to adapt salinity changes, with limited scope of adaptation.
