Design and experiment of oscillating water agitation equipment in aquaculture ponds

Abstract: In aquaculture ponds,water flow stream is important for water purification and improvement of water quality.In this paper,new water agitation equipment is designed based on bidirectional output transmission gears, effective utilization of water broken impeller and low resistance eccentric block in air to improve the water agitation scope and to maintain oxygenation ability.The test of influence scope and oxygenation ability of the oscillating water agitation equipment in a pond showed that the water flow stream scope was improved to 4670 m2,higher than that of the 3 kW and 1.5 kW impeller aerators,with oxygenation capacity of 2.67 kg/h,which reaches 66.7%of the ability of 3 kW impeller aerators and meets the requirement of the national standard.The findings indicate that the agitation ability of the new designed equipment is improved dramatically,and that better solves the water recycle capability deficiency in the oxygenation process in aquaculture ponds.
