Abstract: A doubled haploids(DH)population of 157 individualswas established in Japanese flounder Paralich+ thys olivaceus by mitotic gynogenetics, and genetic linkage map including 481 type II SSRs and 141 EST-SSRs were constructed in order tomap QTL for the body weight and morphological traits.Subsequently, themain effect QTL and epistatic interactions for the observed traitswere analyzed by Bayesian model selection.Itwas found that 38 main-effect QTL located on the chromosomes 5,6,9,and 22 with the proportion of phenotypic variance explained by interacting QTLs ranging from 2.3%to 23.1%,and 50 pairs of epistatic interactionswere detected for themeasured traits. There were 8 pleiotropymain effect QTL's and 7 pairs of epistatic interactions, both governing simultaneously more than two traits, respectively,in themain effect QTLs.The findings improve the selection efficiency for the interest traits in Japanese flounder breeding.
