Abstract: Hydrochloric acid and acetic acid are used as an ash removal solution respectively in pretreament of collagen extraction from body wall of Asterina pectinifera to evaluate effect of ash removal and elements'content in acid solution. The result shows that the beneficial elements'contents are 10.53 mg/mL of Ca,0.44 mg/mL of Mg, 6.28 μg/mL of Mn,2.98 μg/mL of Zn,7.50 μg/mL of Fe,and 0.074 μg/mL of Se in ash removal solution of acetic acid.It further reveals that except the contents of Zn and Se,the other beneficial elements'contents are higher than those in ash removal solution of 0.44 mol/L hydrochloric acid, and the effect of arsenic removal is better than that by using hydrochloric acid. The orthogonal test for acetic acid reveals that the best ash removal effect is achieved when the concentration of acetic acid solution is 0.6 mol/L,the removal time is three days, and the ratio of raw material to acetic acid is 1∶15.It is concluded that acetic acid may be used in pretreatment of ash removal from body wall of Asterina pectinifera and beneficial for collagen extraction and reutilization of ash removal solution of acetic acid.
