Abstract: Dissolved oxygen (DO) is one of the most important parameter of industrial recirculating aquaculture. In our experiment system, an oxygen aerator was functioned by an air pump which injected air into the culture water through a series of air stones. The optimal DO levels were maintained in the recirculating aquaculture water. An automatic monitor and control system was designed to control and to monitor DO condition. In this system, programmable logic controller(PLC) was used to collect data and control the air pump. Meanwhile, a monitoring program was designed with a software called KingView to monitor the change in water DO levels. This automatic monitoring and control system can display the data of DO with curve and table on computer, recording and printing the data. Base on these data, this system controls aeration pump to run or stop so that the time of running aeration pump and energy consumption are limited.
