Abstract: Chub mackerel Scomberjaponicus as one of the main economic fishes in the Pacific, Atlantic and Indian Oceans is an important warm water pelagic migratory fish in China’s offshore fisheries.The early life history of chub mackerel is affected by a variety of environmental factors, especially climate change and the change in marine environment on chub mackerel resource recruitment.The model can better simulate and predict resource recruitment and provide scientific basis for its resource management.This paper reviews the biological characteristics of chub mackerel, the relationship between early life history and environmental factors, the effects of environmental changes on its early life history, growth and survival, impact of resource recruitment, and the application of related ecological models on chub mackerel.Based on the individual biological and ecological model, the early life history of chub mackerel can be more accurately simulated, and the dynamic causes of the changes in chub mackerel resource recruitment can be more deeply analyzed for its broad application prospects.
