Abstract: Species composition, abundance, spatial distribution, dominant species and environmental impact factors of recruit fish eggs and larvae in early stage were investigated in Tianjin coast by biological density, dominance formula and generalized additive model (GAM) based on the survey data of fish eggs and larvae in 367 stations duing 29 voyages from 2012 to 2018 to grasp the resource dynamics of fish eggs and larvae in the Tianjin sea area in recent years. The results showed that fish eggs, with dominant species of gizzard shad Konosiruspunctatus, Sciaenidae, and Joyner’s tongue sole Cynoglossusjoyneri, and larvae of 31 species, with dominant species of mullet Planilizahaematocheila, gizzard shad, and anchovy Thryssakammalensis, were found in Tianjin sea area, including 17 species of fish eggs and 23 species of fish larvae, primary spawn in May and June. GAM analysis revealed that temperature and zooplankton were the main factors influencing abundances of fish eggs and larvae. The findings indicated that the current decline in abundances of fish eggs and larvae was serious, urging to be strengthen for protection.
