Abstract: Clams are rich in varieties of bioactive polysaccharides and protein.The clam polysaccharides extraction methods, polysaccharides purification methods, polysaccharides compositions and polysaccharides bioactivities are reviewed,and some problems about the study of clam polysaccharides are discussed.The improvement of polysaccharides purity, and optimization of extraction process, commercialization of production, and the impact of polysaccharides composition on the mechanism of bioactivities.This study aims to provide theoretical references for clams production,processing and developing functional food.
