Abstract: The pH value,and levels of dissolved oxygen(DO),total nitrogen(TN),dissolved inorganic nitrogen (DIN),total phosphorus(TP),phosphate,chemical oxygen demand(COD)Mn,petroleum and Chl-a weremonitored in Dongping Lake from March to November of2013 and thewater environmentquality was comprehensively evaluated using comprehensive trophic level index and Nemerow index.The results showed that water quality in Dongping lake was at the stage ofmild eutrophication and moderate pollution with water qualityⅢ standard.The predominant pollutant factors were TN,TP and CODMn,and the petroleum concentration was found over 100%of the fishery water quality standard.There were significant differences in temporal and spatial profiles ofwater environment quality parameters,as the following order:March>May>November>August,betterwater quality in the central area and non-cultured area than in inletarea and cultured area.The findings provide certain scientific basis for treatment of the water pollution and eutrophication in Dongping Lake,and for achievement of East-Route South to North Water Transfer Project.
