Abstract: In view of the problem of lack of the math model for the evaluation of optimum fiber reinforced plastics (FRP) trawl boats, series of economic & technological equations were in this paper proposed, and comparatively analyzed the factors influencing economy of FRP trawls boat, such as fuel consumption, economic life-span, cost, maintain expense, and depreciation cost were analysed comparatively. The results showed that most of the target variable is good for the economy of the FRP fishing trawler, only the cost showing a negative influence. These equations can effectively meet the needs of the FRP optimal ship type evaluation, and provide the basis of the calculation for the construction, management and fishing department.
