On April 29, the Chinese Science Citation Database (CSCD) published the selection results of source journals from 2019 to 2020. Journal of Dalian Ocean University moved into the core database of CSCD (C) from the extension database of CSCD (E).

CSCD was founded in 1989. And it covers more one thousand kinds of excellent academic journals in some area of natural sciences, engineering and medical disciplines, including mathematics, physics, chemistry, life science, earth science, agricultural science, medicine, industrial technology, environmental sciences and so on. As the authoritative literature search tool, CSCD is already widely available for new subjects search, funds, project evaluation, outcomes reporting, personnel selection, bibliometric and other aspects in research institutes, colleges and universities in China.
