Abstract: Fishing vessels are relative small and operated on the sea almost all the year round, and some of them capsized in the rough sea due to the loss of stability. According to some model test results of fishing vessels in the developed fishery countries, through analyzing the capsizing mechanism of fishing vessels, author gives some measurs for improving the stability of fishing vessel in rough sea, which include how to design and arrange the bulkwark port and ensure the reliability of water-tight facilities and use catamaran.
