Abstract: The subsiding regularity of spherical sinkers is investigated through experiment and theoretical analysis. The results are obtained as follows: the subsiding acceleration is varied with time, getting to zero as the time increases, whereas the subsiding speed reaching a constant; the subsiding speed tends to increase as the quantity of sinker increasing, but the variation is decreasing; subsiding depth is linear with time.
