Abstract: In this paper, the compatible torque twist in building structure is classified into three basic models and for each of them a general formula for calculating compatible torsion moments under generalized vertical loads is presented. Based on the formulas the compatible torsion moments under conventional loads are calculated. The paper also analyzes the influences of various kinds of factors which affect the compatible torsion moments.
