Abstract: The distribution maps with format of 1° latitude by 1° longitude include month production maps of skipjack Katsuwonus pelamis and distribution maps were drawn by Arcview, showing the relationship between monthly production and surface temperature, and surface salinity in depth of 50 m, and 200 m every month, based on skipjack purse data in the west -central Pacific Ocean by Shanghai pelagic fishery company and Argo profile data in 2007. The results showed that the high catch was mainly observed in 150 - 153°E,160 - 161°E,0° -2°S in 2007. The maximal catch was found in August, but the highest CPUE in Fehruary. With Kolmogorov - Smimov two sam- ple test methods, the most optimum surface temperature was 29.3 - 30.1 ℃ and the optimum surface salinity 34. 0 - 35.2. The maximal catch appeared at difference temperature of 11 ℃ between 0 - 200 m and 50 - 200 m. The Shapiro- Wilk normality test showed that the distribution of difference temperature in production followed norm school. The above results are accorded with the instance of production practice, indicating that Argo data can be used in fishery production and research.
