Abstract: The oxygen consumption rate (R) and ammonia-N excretion rate (N) of three groups Perinereis aibuhitensis Grube with different body weights (0.40±0.19, 1.00±0.22, 2.00±0.50 g)were determined under controlled conditions at ambient water temperature of 10,12, 16, 20, 24, 27℃ and 29℃ by the Winkler method and Nessle method. The results showed that (1)The respiration increased with increase in temperature (T) within 10-27℃ and significantly decreased at 29℃. Under 12-29℃, the regression equation between the body weight of P.aibuhitensis (W) and oxygen consumption (R) can be described as R= aW~(b-1), the ranges of a and b were 0.1182-0.3894 and -0.3672- -0.5971, respectively.(2) The formula expressing the relationship among the oxygen consumption, body weight and temperature was established as: R=0.01993+0.04323T-0.07663WT (F=5.85, P=0.01).(3)The excretion rate of P.aibuhitensis was significantly affected by the water temperature (F=3.651, P<0.05)instead of the body weight.
