Abstract: The relationship between fishing vessels accident style and four evaluation indices was evaluated based on grey correlation theory in order to research the consequences of different accident styles objectively and theoretically. The main fishing vessel accident styles were firstly screened as comparative factors and four evaluation indices were selected as reference factors to measure the consequences of fishing vessel accidents. Then the incidence matrix between accident styles and evaluation indices was established and an analysis was made on the basis of the correlation degree order. The results showed that sinking accident was found to be one of the worst accident styles, followed by the windstorm accident. The finding indicates that the worst accident style and the key aspect of fishery supervision, which makes it reasonable for the fishery supervisor to establishment the related management policies.
