Abstract: The equation“Quinn”and the equations in the standard were utilized to calculate themooring force of 447.42 kW boats under typhoon calamity with wind,wave and current to evaluate fishing boatsmooring force.The“equivalent normalized”extreme value distribution of type Imooring forcewas estimated,and then reliability index and failure probability of 12.5,16.0,19.0,20.5,22.0 mm chain were calculated.Base on bearing capacity of safety indicators,the design standard in code was lower than security requirements,indicating that designers should pay attentions to fishingmooring chain reliability to improve fishing disaster preventions and mitigation.
