Abstract: Effects of suspended particles concentration (50,60,80,and 160 mg/L) on clearance rate(Rc) and absorption efficiency were investigated inSinonovaculaconstrictawith shell length of (71.15 mm±3.66 mm) by experimental ecological method in a laboratory. The results showed that the clearance rate ofS.constrictawas increased with the suspended particle concentration increase(P<0.05),the maximum value at the suspended particle concentration of 160 mg/L for 6 h, and the minimum value at a concentration of 50 mg/L. There was higher clearance rate ofS.constrictaat 6 h than at 12-24 h under the same concentration of suspended particles. The absorption efficiency ofS.constrictawas decreased with increase in suspended particle concentration (P<0.01),the minimum value at concentration of 160 mg/L, and the maximum value at concentration of 50 mg/L.
